Thank you to all our clients, guest speakers and Partners who joined us at our recent GC Compliance & Corporate Governance | Macau and Hong Kong Forum.
The forum discussed and addressed topics, including protecting personal data in the age of AI, navigating emerging AML/CFT trends and risks, and exploring the latest regulatory developments impacting Macau, Hong Kong and China.
We kicked off the event with José Leitão, Partner at MdME, who led our first panel focusing on data protection and AI. He was joined by panellists Marissa Dong, Partner at JunHe LLP, Do Do Chan, Senior Legal Counsel at Emperor Group 英皇集團, Lily Chan, Group General Counsel at Daniel Wellington, and Winnie Ma, Director - General Counsel & Company Secretary at Hang Lung Properties.
They shared valuable insights on how they equally embrace AI and overcome challenges, as well as policies and laws to keep in mind across their respective jurisdictions.
Following that, we dived into our panel on AML/CFT trends and risks moderated by Daniela Guerreiro, Associate at MdME. The panel featured Alexander Shaik, Partner at ADM Capital, Jonathan David Wong, Partner at Clifford Chance, and Marco Chung, Group Head of Legal and Managing Director at CLSA, who all engaged in fruitful discussions, sharing on current market trends and best practices in accommodating differing AML/CFT regulations from different jurisdictions.
The feedback we received from the forum was overwhelmingly positive. Speakers shared about their hands on experiences which was truly appreciated by all guests.
A heartfelt thanks to all our esteemed speakers and guests who made this event a success
