Ana Pinto Moraes

Ana is a counsel and the head of the Tax practice - Portugal.

She specialises in domestic and international tax structuring, tax consultancy and strategic advice, including wealth management and planning.
In her practice, Ana advises multinational groups, corporations, financial institutions, and investment funds on a wide range of international tax and corporate matters, including financial and operational restructurings.

Ana’s experience includes tax advisory, focusing on international taxation. She has experience in corporate and individual income tax, stamp duty, tax benefits, VAT, and general tax compliance.

Her expertise also includes advising clients in audit defence and tax investigations, as well as in high-profile projects related to energy transition, real estate, financial services, family wealth structuring, private wealth management and estate planning.

Ana is also a Tax Arbitrator at CAAD – Portuguese Tax Arbitration, author of the book «Reinvestimento nas Mais valias imobiliárias regime e especialidades em sede de IRS» (real estate capital gains reinvestment at individuals' level) and a Lecturer at the Institute for Economic, Fiscal and Tax Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (IDEFF).
